Each apartment has two or three bedrooms, an open plan lounge/diner with kitchen area, separate bathroom, and a log burning stove, all ready for you to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of this lovely old Alpujarran village. All linen and towels are included, and each is equipped for a simple self catering holiday, away from the stress and strain of your everyday life.
With rates as low as €20 per person per night, you can rest a while, and get to know the area, famous for its hams, regional wines and hearty local cuisine.
The Sierra Nevada National Park provides the backdrop to the jaw dropping scenery you'll encounter here in Trevélez, being on the GR7 trail, and the starting point for ascending Mulhacen, which at some 3500m is Spain's highest peak, and a magnet to all those who love the great outdoors, and the fabulous wildlife the park contains.
If you are looking for a guided holiday, our many years experience of walking in the area means we can put together a selection of walks ideally suited to you, whether it be high mountain or more low level hill walking. We usually work with groups of between four and eighteen people and have a number of itineraries to suit most levels. We're also lucky enough to have an on-site artists studio and workshop. Local painter and printmaker Jeni Rabjohns creates her lovely local scenes here and her studio is open to the public most evenings. You'll be able to take home a permanent reminder of your visit, from her range of original oils, watercolours, and signed prints in all shapes and sizes, and cater for most budgets. We can even arrange for a painting masterclass during your stay!
